This week's Regal Cinemas (Edwards & United Artists) Weekly coupon is FREE small drink with popcorn purchase! Like I mentioned in a previous post introducing its new format, Regal Cinemas has gone digital and all of its weekly coupons are all mobile now and only be retrieved if you enter your cell phone number (a text with a link to the coupon will be sent to you that way). Unfortunately, they're no longer offering printable coupons, and as far as I understand it to be, the new coupons can only be used on a smartphone (since they send you a link in the text vs. a coupon code)

Coupon Language Coupon Verbiage 101

With the recent increased in consumer interest in couponing, and TLC's Extreme Couponing putting a spotlight on the subject, there are more and more newbies to couponing everyday. One of the first questions I had when I first started was deciphering the coupon language (coupon verbiage), and being unsure of whether or not I would be able to use multiple coupons at the same time. So today, I'm going to discuss two main couponing terms:


ONE COUPON PER PURCHASE: When you see this kind of verbiage on a coupon, it means that you are allowed to use ONE COUPON for EACH ITEM you purchase. What does that really mean though? Well, let's say you have 3 of the same coupons for toothpaste, then you would be able to use all 3 coupons to buy 3 tubes of toothpaste in ONE TRANSACTION.

ONE COUPON PER TRANSACTION: Now, this is quite different from the above, and a lot more self explanatory. If you see this kind of coupon verbiage, then that means you are allowed to use ONE COUPON for EACH TRANSACTION. So with the same 3 coupons that you have for toothpaste, if you want to use them all, you would need to do it in 3 different transactions. Some stores might allow you to just separate your items into different transactions, some might not, so I would check with the specific store you go to.

With that under your belt, hopefully you will be more confident about when you could just multiple coupons in the future! Happy couponing!

The Wonder Years available on Netflix for streaming

This really isn't a "deal," but fans of the show The Wonder Years would be happy to know that the show is now available on Netflix for streaming. I'm a huge fan of the show and have been waiting for it to come out on DVDs, but I read at one point that it was probably never going to happen due to copyright problems with all the hit songs used on the show. Eventually, I gave up hope on ever really be able to enjoy that show again (unless I want to be awake at 3am in the morning watching it on cable).

A few days ago I was browsing Netflix looking for something to watch when I was shocked to see that they had somehow acquired The Wonder Years for streaming!! So I don't know how long it is going to last since shows/movies available for streaming on Netflix always seem to have an expiration date, so I would take advantage of this if you were a fan of the show. McDonald's Monopoly game 2011

Okay, so there isn't a "coupon" and I don't even eat fast food often, but I make an exception every year when McDonald's have its annual Monopoly game. I'm a huge Monopoly fanatic and it's a little shameful to admit, but I get very excited around this time of the year, every year! The game officially began today, 9/27/2011 and will end on 10/24/2011. For every game piece you get, you can both play the online version and the in-store version (and they are separate games with separate prizes). If you are wondering what items will get you game pieces, which differs every year, I've gone through the trouble and found them from the official rule book:

I personally think the changes are for the better, I really like how they separate the ads and search results, but I do miss that automatic 1SB everyday!

Spotify invite giveaway

SpotifyUSA has announced on Twitter that they will be doing a competition the morning of 7/19 to give away more invite codes. I suggest tuning in to see what it entails because that invite will be WORTH it. I was one of the lucky few to get an invite on launch day in the US, and I can't sing enough praises about this service.

Spotify has also teamed up with Coca-Cola to give away invites and as of 5 minutes ago, this link is still actively giving out invites, with the invite code arriving within 20 minutes of the email input!!!!

As of now, users of the FREE service in the US gets to enjoy unlimited use as Spotify tries to take off and attract potential subscription users (do note that in other countries, there is a limit to the number of hours users can use with the FREE service).

Spotify is now available in the U.S.!!

The day has finally come for Spotify to be available in the U.S.!! For those not familiar with the service, it is a free streaming service that lets you listen to any specific song you would like (unlike Pandora) from their library of 15 million songs, and you can make a playlist of songs that you personally pick out!

I signed up for a invite code a few weeks ago, and I received an email with my invite today (launch day). After using it for a few hours, I have to say I'm very, very impressed. The service works flawlessly, and I really do get to pick whatever song I would like, and am only subjected to a short ad after at least 3-4 songs. I'm currently using the FREE version, but I might just subscribe to the PREMIUM for $9.99/month if I'm still satisfied in a few weeks so I can have access to Spotify on my smartphone.
