How to block and disable the Facebook face recognition feature

This is not a post about coupons or savings, but something that I feel pretty strongly about: Facebook's privacy settings. I'm sure by now most of you have heard of the new face recognition feature Facebook has rolled out, and it has certainly raised a lot of privacy questions within the States and overseas. Obviously, I don't appreciate Facebook's constant attempts at stepping on our privacy with setting these features as default, so I'm writing this post to tell you how to disable their latest face recognition feature.

1) Go to "Account" in the upper right corner, and select "Privacy Settings" in the pull down menu.

2) Look for the link "Customize settings" towards the bottom of the page, and click on it

3) Look for the option "Suggest photos of me to friends" towards the second half of the page, and click on the "Edit Settings" button next to it

4) A window will pop up, and you will see that the default setting is set to "Enabled." Click on it for the pull down menu, and you will see the "Disabled" option and click on that

 5) And viola! You have now successfully disabled Facebook's new face recognition feature!
